The initiative aims at ensuring care for people above the age of 60. Care and support to bedridden elderly people are provided through Pakal Veedu.
We conduct out-reach camps and home visits to attend the needs of the sick at home, who cannot be shifted to hospitals.
P.S. Mission hospital started as a small clinic on 11th February 1961 under the leadership of late Msgr. Alexander Vadakumthala of the Archdiocese of Verapoly. In the year 1988 the hospital administration was handed over to the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites (CTC). The servant of God Mother Eliswa was the precursor of woman religious in Kerala, the foundress of the first indigenous Third Order discalced Carmelite Congregation. She established the first convent school, boarding house and orphanage for the poor in Kerala.
