Started in 1961 as a small clinic, P.S. Mission hospital had initiated various noble activities along with its growth. PM Mission Hospital was the first to start a community volunteer program and home care program for the bedridden. Neighbour-friendly programs like DOTS free treatment programme for Tuberculosis patients, medical check-ups and free treatment programmes, free monthly medical and OB and gynaecological health talks, school health check-up, blood sugar testing, distribution of milk and medicine and free dialysis programme for all the dialysis patients of the locality were part of its activities. The venture ‘Nithyasahayasadan’ has started as a home for the elderly and terminally sick people.

NITHYASAHAYASADAN was blessed by Rev. Msgr. Mathew Elanjimittam, Vicar General of Archdiocese of Verapoly on 15th March 2017 and officially inaugurated by Sri. Advocate Swaraj, MLA of Thripunithura on 23rd April 2017. A home for the destitute and terminally ill people from poor economic background revolves around palliative, geriatric care and all kinds of mental and medical support for them. The centre has facilities to accommodate up to 100 inmates, providing them with free food and medical support. The centre also extends its hand to those who seek care at home. Nithyasahayasadan is a unique centre in India in its nature and by its service, like high-end palliative care with physical, mental & spiritual support.
